A REAL ID application needs proof of identity, your Social Security number and proof of your Florida address. Renewals and registrations need less. The Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) site lists the exact documents for each service at www.flhsmv.gov. Bring originals; copies are usually refused.
